CUET UG 2025: Admission to over 5,800 seats in 13 agriculture courses; list of universities, eligibility

NEW DELHI: Over seventy agriculture universities and colleges will participate in the CUET UG ICAR 2025 agriculture and allied sciences undergadute programmes. The CUET UG 2025 will be used to fill the all-India quota (AIQ) seats, which totalled 5,842 last year. The list of total seats available for admissions will be available at the time of counselling.

The section of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) is specifically for 13 undergraduate agriculture and allied programmes, including BSc Agriculture, BSc Horticulture, BTech Dairy Technology, etc. The CUET UG 2025 registration is open till March 22, at the National Testing Agency (NTA) portal, cuet.nta.nic.in

Some of the top seventy universities for agriculture and allied sectors, which participated previously in CUET UG ICAR 2025, were University of Agricultural Sciences, offering 22 seats, Institute of Agricultural Sciences, BHU, offering 6 seats, Kamdhenu University, Gandhinagar, offering 21 seats, including others.

Additionally, there is no provision of direct nomination for admission through ICAR in any UG programme in agriculture and allied sciences without qualifying in CUET ICAR UG 2025.

The Agri MBA professionals are in great demand. Both National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE) and the National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM) boast of 100% placements for their 2022-24 batch. According to university officials, MBA agriculture graduates are preferred in jobs related to fertilisers, pesticides and food processing, including others.

ICAR CUET UG eligibility criteria

Candidates can check the eligibility criteria for the ICAR CUET UG 2025 admissions as follows.

• Candidate should have passed Class 12 with at least three subjects out of physics, chemistry, mathematics, biology and agriculture, inter-agriculture as core subjects.
• Candidates who appear in subjects different from the one in which they have passed in Class 12 will be rejected.
• Candidates must attempt only those subjects (at least 3 subjects) in the exam as per the choice given in the application form. Candidates must exercise the choices carefully. Attempting to select subjects different from the choices given in the application form, will lead to rejection.
• Participating universities may have other conditions for admission under university statute.

The other ICAR CUET UG 2025 exam dates will be the same as scheduled by the NTA for CUET UG 2025 exams.
