ICSI issues guidelines ahead of CSEET 2023; exam on November 4

Check NowNEW DELHI: The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has issued a set of guidelines for students appearing for the Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET). ICSI will conduct the CSEET exam on November 4, 2023. The institute will conduct another session of CSEET exam on January 6, 2024.
The institute will conduct CSEET through remote proctored mode and not from any exam centre. Candidates can appear for the CSEET using their own laptop or desktop from home.
However, the institute has clarified that other electronic items such as mobile phone, tablet, palmtop, etc are not allowed in the exam. The students will be continuously observed through video / audio mode by the supervisor, known as proctor the same same way as if they are appearing in the examination at centres.
The entrance exam will be held for a duration of 2 hours. The paper comprise of MCQ pattern with four sections of 50 marks each. These sections include Business Communication, Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning, Economic and Business Environment and Current Affairs and Quantitative Aptitude.
Before taking the CSEET exam, students must download and verify Safe Exam Browser, SEBLite on their desktop or laptop. Installing SEBLite won't be possible until the CSEET has been successfully finished and submitted. The candidate will not be allowed to start the test and no questions will appear if they fail to download the Safe Exam Browser.

In order to ensure their appearance in the test, candidates must have their admit card, government-issued identity card, passport, driver's licence, PAN card, UID Aadhaar card, and voter card on hand for verification by the remote proctors.
Candidates must login to the exam portal 30 minutes prior to the commencement of exam. Candidates will not be allowed to appear in the test after completion of 15 minutes of the commencement of the test and no candidate will be able to submit the test before 90 minutes of the test duration.
