IGNOU BEd admission 2021 begins; Entrance exam on April 11

The BEd admission process for the January 2021 session has started; the deadline for registration is March 20.
NEW DELHI: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has begun the IGNOU BEd registration process for the January 2021 session. The last date for IGNOU BEd registration 2021 for the January session is March 20.
The IGNOU BEd entrance examination 2021 will be held on April 11 around various exam centres.
The minimum duration of the IGNOU BEd programme is 2 years and the medium of instruction will be in both English and Hindi.

IGNOU BEd eligibility criteria 2021
Interested candidates must have at least 50% marks either in the bachelor’s degree programme or in the master’s degree in sciences, social sciences, commerce or humanity. Those students who have completed Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in science and mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification are also eligible for the BEd programme.
Candidates who are trained in-service teachers in elementary education or who have completed an NCTE recognized teacher education programme through face-to-face mode also are eligible to be students of BEd (ODL).
Relaxation of 5% in the minimum percentage of marks required will be provided to candidates belonging to the SC, ST, OBC (Non-creamy layer), PwD, EWS candidates as per the central government rules. Reservation to Kashmiri migrants and war widow candidates will be provided as per the university rules.
