IGNOU July 2026 re-registration begins at ignou.samarth.edu.in; last date June 30

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has started the re-registration for the July, 2026 session for all ODL and Online programmes today, May 6, 2026. Candidates can apply on the official website of IGNOU samarth portal at ignou.samarth.edu.in. The last date to register is June 30, 2026. The late submission may attract a late fee if the deadline is extended.

The re-registration fee is set at Rs 300 for students completing the process within the stipulated timeline. However, those who miss the deadline will be required to pay an additional late fee of Rs 200 along with the standard re-registration charges.

Candidates are required to keep certain important documents ready before starting the application process. These include the 10-digit enrolment number, the candidate’s date of birth, and the list of courses they wish to opt for in the upcoming session. In addition, students should also ensure access to valid payment methods such as debit card, credit card, UPI, or net banking for completing the online fee payment smoothly.

To apply for the IGNOU July 2026 session, candidates can follow the steps given below:

• Visit the official IGNOU samarth portal at ignou.samarth.edu.in
• Login with the details, including enrollment number and password
• Choose the courses for the next semester/year and pay the fee online
• The confirmation receipt will appear on the screen
• Save the confirmation receipt for further reference

IGNOU July 2026 re-registration 2026: Instructions

IGNOU has also issued instructions for the candidates. These guidelines are applicable only for existing students. Candidates are required to complete their re-registration through the samarth portal and ensure that the programme fees are paid online using available payment modes such as UPI, debit card, credit card, or net banking. Students are advised not to wait until the last date to complete the process, as this may lead to server congestion and technical issues.
