IGNOU PhD Admission: Apply before December 22; NTA to conduct entrance test on January 16, 2022

IGNOU PhD admission: National Testing Agency will conduct entrance exams for various PhD programmes on January 16. Apply before December 22.
NEW DELHI: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has invited applications for its various PhD programmes for the July 2021 session. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct entrance examinations for admission to the PhD courses offered by the university. Interested candidates can apply for the programmes at ignou.nta.nic.in. The last date to apply is December 22.

NTA will conduct the entrance exam on January 16, 2022. The duration of the exam will be 3 hours and the timings would be 10am to 1pm.
IGNOU PhD admission: How to apply
- Apply for online registration using email Id and mobile number
- Fill in the online application form and note down the system generated application number.
- Upload scanned images of a recent photograph, candidate’s signature, PwD certificate (if any)
- Pay fee through net banking or debit card or credit card or UPI and keep proof of fee paid.
- Download the application form
- Take a printout of the form for future reference

Eligibility criteria for admission to PhD programme are as follows:
Master's Degree from a University recognized by UGC in the relevant discipline with at least 55% marks ( for General Category) in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and [50%marks in the case of SC,ST and OBC(Non-creamy Layer)/Differently-Abled and other categories of candidates as per the decision of UGC from time to time, or for those who had obtained their Master's Degree prior to 19th September,1991] excluding grace marks.

- Stage 1: Entrance Test
- Stage 2: Interview or Presentation
