IGNOU PhD entrance exam 2023 registration last date extended to January 3
IGNOU registration for BSc Nursing and BEd for January 2024 session has also been extended. The exam will be held on January 7.

NEW DELHI: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the last date for submission of online application form for entrance test of PhD for July 2023 session, BSc Nursing and BEd for January 2024 session. Students will be able to submit the application form by January 3.
Students who are applying during this extended period will have to pay an additional late fee of Rs 200. Candidates will have to submit Rs 1,000 registration fee to complete the application form. As per the schedule, the exam will be held on January 7.
“The last date for submission of Online Application Form for Ph.D. (For July 2023 Session), BSc Nursing and BEd (For January, 2024 Session) has been extended till 03 January, 2024 up to 05:00 P.M with a late fee of Rs. 200,” the university said.
Entrance test will have 70% weightage and 30% weightage will be given to the interview round for PhD admission.
IGNOU Entrance Test: How to apply
Applicants can follow the steps given below to register for the PhD entrance exam.
- Visit the IGNOU official website, ignouphd.samarth.edu.in.
- Click on the ‘New registration’ that appears on the homepage.
- Fill in basic details to generate username and password.
- Username should be between 8 to 16 characters.
- The password should be alphanumeric and between 8 to 16 characters long.
- After filling the mandatory information click the "SUBMIT" button.
- The username will be instantly sent through e-mail and SMS.
- Fill the basic details and upload the following documents.
- Scanned passport size photograph, which should be less than 100 KB.
- Scanned signature with less than 100 KB.
