IGNOU re-registration 2021 started for January session; check details

NEW DELHI: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has opened its re-registration window for the January 2021 session, in online mode. Candidates, who wish to continue their studies in the next semester/year, need to opt for IGNOU 2021 re-registration from December 1. However, the varsity has not declared the deadline for IGNOU re-registration yet.
For IGNOU 2021 re registration, candidates have to visit the official portal of IGNOU - ignou.ac.in. Furthermore, they need to click on the "Online re registration January 2021" tab appearing on the left top of the official site. The candidates will be redirected to ignou.samarth.edu.in wherein they need to enter their user name and password and click on the log in button.
It must be noted that the IGNOU re registration has begun for most of the UG, PG courses, except for MP, MPB and MCA. According to the IGNOU officials, the IGNOU 2021 re registration for these courses will commence in another two days.
Candidates must go through the instructions on the IGNOU portal before they begin their IGNOU re registration process for January 2021 session.
It must be noted that the IGNOU re-registration is a mandatory process through which candidates register for next year or semester of a programme. Thus, it's only applicable to students enrolled in undergraduate, postgraduate, semester-based programmes of two-three year duration.
Candidates can re-register for the next year or semester irrespective of whether they have submitted the assignments or appeared in the term-end examination of the previous semester or not.
