NEW DELHI: Today, March 20, 2023 is the last date to register for Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) for the January 2023 session, without late fee. Earlier, the last date to apply was March 10, which had been extended till March 20, 2023.

Candidates desirous of registering themselves will have to log on to the official website – ignou.ac.in. Those candidates who register themselves after the deadline will be required to pay a late fee of Rs 200.

Following this, the university will open the re-registration forms for the July 2023 session from May 2023 onwards.

IGNOU registration 2023: Things to keep handy

Before proceeding with the re-registrations for the university, candidates must keep the following details/documents handy to ensure successful registration.

● User ID

● Password

● Registered mobile number

● Registered email ID

● Banking details (Credit card/Debit card/netbanking details)

Steps to fill IGNOU application form 2023

Candidates will have to follow the stepwise procedure described below to apply for re-registration at the university.

1. Log on to the official website of IGNOU at ignou.ac.in.

2. Under the tab that reads ‘Re-registration’, choose the option that says re-registration.

3. Go through the information displayed on the page and proceed for re-registration. A

login window will be displayed on the screen.

4. Key in your username, password and captcha. Submit all details.

5. Fill in the application form details and make payment of application fee in the online


6. Submit all details and download a copy of the confirmation page. Print its hard copy

for future references.

In case of any discrepancies in the re-registration form, the candidates should get in touch with the university officials immediately and get their issues resolved. The discrepancies must be resolved within the stipulated time.
