IGNOU January Admission 2026: Registration deadline extended till March 30 for ODL programmes

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the last date for registration for the January 2026 session. Candidates seeking admission to programmes offered through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online modes can now submit their IGNOU January 2026 registration forms till March 30, 2026.

Eligible candidates can register for the IGNOU January 2026 session through the official website, ignou.ac.in. Candidates are required to pay an IGNOU registration fee to apply for the ODL and online programmes.

Earlier, the last date to submit the IGNOU January 2026 application form was February 15, which has now been extended.

Before starting the IGNOU January application process, candidates should keep their Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) ID ready. They will also need to create a DEB ID, which is mandatory to submit the ODL application.

• Go to the official website, ignou.ac.in
• Click on the ‘IGNOU Registration’ link.
• Enter your valid IGNOU user ID, password, and security pin.
• Click on the ‘Login’ link.
• Fill out the IGNOU application and choose your course.
• Pay the registration fees in online mode.
• Submit the completed IGNOU application form and take a printout of it for your future use.
