IIHMR Delhi collaborates with University of Edinburgh to promote research in public health

IIHMR Delhi and University of Edinburgh have collaborated to leverage the expertise of both institutions to address critical health challenges.
NEW DELHI: The International Institute of Health Management and Research (IIHMR) Delhi has landed in a collaboration with the University of Edinburgh, a statement from the institute said. The collaboration is aimed at leveraging the expertise and resources of both the institutions, to address the critical health challenges and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field.
Apart from this, the collaboration's objective is also to promote research, training and capacity building in the field of health management and public health. As a part of the collaboration, joint research projects, faculty exchange programmes, joint publications and sharing of best practices in health management are included. The official press release issued by the institute also stated that a number of seminars, conferences and workshops may also be organised to promote knowledge dissemination and foster a learning community.
Officials of the institute also said that the collaboration will also result in developing innovative solutions to address health challenges in India and contribute to the policy making and evidence based decision making in the field of health management.

They added that owing to the same, the research practices will be strengthened and a growth will be witnessed in the academic capabilities of students studying at both the institutions. At last, they said that advancement of health management and public health knowledge and practices will also be touching new heights with the collaboration.
