IIM Ahmedabad opens admissions for 24th GMP batch, targets global professionals

IIM Ahmedabad opens applications for its 24th General Management Programme with global access, blended learning and campus immersion in Dubai and Ahmedabad.
Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) has opened admissions for the 24th batch of its General Management Programme (GMP), aimed at professionals looking to move into senior management roles.
The eight-month course is meant for mid- to senior-level professionals from regions such as the Middle East, South Asia and Europe. It focuses on building leadership skills, business understanding and better decision-making through a mix of online classes and campus learning.
The programme, approved by Dubai’s knowledge and human development authority, will be delivered through around 100 blended sessions. Participants will also attend a 10-day immersion at IIMA’s Dubai and Ahmedabad campuses.
IIM Ahmedabad GMP focuses on practical learning
The programme is designed to help participants understand how organisations function as a whole. It covers key areas such as organisational behaviour, marketing, finance, operations, digital strategy and innovation.

Classes will include case studies from Harvard and IIMA, along with discussions, assignments and a final project. The idea is to help professionals improve their decision-making and prepare for leadership roles.
IIM Ahmedabad programme open to global professionals
The GMP is open to applicants from across the world, including the UAE, India and Europe. Previous batches have included professionals with 8 to over 25 years of experience from sectors like consulting, technology, finance, healthcare and engineering.
The programme also brings together people from different industries, giving them a chance to learn from each other’s experiences.

IIM Ahmedabad highlights need for leadership skills
Officials said there is a growing need for strong leadership as companies deal with rapid changes in technology and work environments. The programme aims to help professionals adapt to these changes and take on bigger roles.
Those who complete the course will receive a certificate and alumni status from IIMA, which can help them in their career growth.
