IIM Ahmedabad to set up international campus in Dubai, first programme starts in September 2025: Reports

IIM Ahmedabad is the first IIM to set up an international campus in Dubai.
NEW DELHI : The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad to set up its first international campus in Dubai. As per reports, IIM Ahmedabad is the first IIM institute to establish an international campus, and its first programme will be launched in September 2025.
According to The Indian Express, IIM Ahmedabad hosted its 60th convocation ceremony at the Louis Kahn Plaza of the institute and Bharat Bhasker, the director of the institute, announced they will set up the first international campus in Dubai.
The directors also announced to establish a new Madan Mohanka centre of excellence in Case Method of Learning backed by Madan Mohanka, an alumnus of IIMA from PGP 1967 and a renowned industrialist.
Over 1200 students were conferred degrees by S Somanath, former chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) , during the convocation ceremony.

IIM Ahmedabad’s 60th convocation ceremony
A total of 630 young leaders were awarded degrees from four programmes, including 22 scholars from doctoral programmes in management (PhD), 405 students from the two-year post-graduate programme in management (MBA-PGP), 45 students from two-year post-graduate programme in food and agri-business management (MBA-FABM), 158 students from the one-year post graduate programme in management (MBA-PGPX).
Additionally, five students were awarded gold medals by the chief guest for their academic achievements, including Abhi Bansal, Ishaan Jain, and Aanchal Chadha from MBA-PGP ; Yogesh Kumar R from MBA-FABM; and Aashruth Rangarajan from MBA-PGPX.
Recently, IIM Ahmedabad partnered with the Financial Planning Standards Board (FPSB) to launch the one-year executive programme in financial planning and investment advisory services. The programme is mainly designed for mid-to-senior-level finance professionals and is signed with a broader vision of Viksit Bharat.
