IIM Bangalore gets EQUIS re-accreditation for 5 years; longest accreditation offer
This is the second time that IIM Bangalore has received accreditation for 5 years, the longest period that EQUIS offers.

NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Management Bangalore got the EQUIS accreditation for a period of 5 years. This is the second time that IIM Bangalore has received accreditation for 5 years, the longest period that EQUIS offers.
EQUIS, is the leading international system of quality assessment, improvement and accreditation of higher education institutions in management and business administration.

As per the EQUIS accreditation team, the achievements of IIM Bangalore that was particularly noted were - profile of IIM Bangalore’s students, its doctoral programme, high-quality management programmes, which are well-ranked internationally.
“A strong commitment to digital learning and MOOCs, its strong executive education programmes, a strong connection to practice, its diversity policy towards underprivileged students in India and students with disabilities and its strong achievements in research and publications in top international journals,” it added as the highlight of IIM-B’s achievements.

IIM Bangalore Director Rishikesha T Krishnan said, “EQUIS accreditation is about excellence and continuous quality improvement linked to the strategy, vision and leadership. It certainly helps us set a quality agenda for the future.”
The institute further said in its statement, “Graduates who study at an EQUIS accredited school can be assured that they will receive international recognition for their qualification, which is extremely important in today’s global environment.”

IIM Bangalore secured the second spot in the National Institutional Ranking Framework ( NIRF ) 2021, while IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Calcutta bagged first and third positions respectively. All three IIMs have maintained their position from last year's NIRF rankings for MBA.
