IIM Bangalore PGP and PGPBA 2020-22 students were offered 662 job roles in total

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore’s PGP and PGPBA Class of 2020-22 students received 662 offers during the lateral and final placement drive. All 513 students who participated in the placement drive got placed.
According to Harsh Agrawal, placement representative at IIM Bangalore, there has been a 37 percent increase in the number of offers compared to the previous year’s placement process.

As per a statement from IIM Bangalore, the highest number of offers came from the consultancy sector with Accenture offering the highest number of job roles with 51 offers. This was followed by Boston Consulting Group which offered 30 job roles. Kearney, Bain and Company, McKinsey and Company, Ernst and Young, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Tata Consultancy Services among others were other top recruiters from the consultancy sector. Consulting companies offered about 248 job opportunities for IIM Bangalore students.
About 141 offers came from the information technology and product management domain with companies such as Microsoft, OYO, Amagi Labs, Oracle, Atlassian, Google making the most number of offers.

Goldman Sachs made the highest number of offers in the finance sector with 22 offers. IIM Bangalore students bagged about 71 offers from the finance domain.
Conglomerates made about 52 offers with RPG Group making 10 offers followed by Natwest Group, Vedanta, ABG, CK Birla Group, Tata Administrative Services, Adani Group and many others.
IIM Bangalore students got 40 offers from the sales and marketing sector with offers from companies such as HUL, Asian Paints, Samsung, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, ITC, Nykaa among others. Operations roles saw 13 offers and the analytics sector rolled out 32 offers.

This has resulted in all the students of IIMB being placed by end of Day 1 of the placement week. The entirely virtual process was seamlessly managed by the IIMB ecosystem and it is indeed gratifying to see this stupendous success,” said Roopa Adyasha, senior manager, career development services.
