IIM Bangalore’s international aviation conference will be attended by management of TBS, Indigo, IAF, HAL, Thales, Rolls-Royce, Airbus and Air Works.

NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Management (IIM Bangalore) in collaboration with Toulouse Business School (TBS) France will organise ‘International Conference on the Future of Aviation and Aerospace’ (FOAA 2024) at Taj Bangalore Hotel from 9 am to 6 pm on April 20. Interested candidates can register for the conference, which is being organised by IIM Bangalore’s Executive Education Programmes (EEP), through the website, bitly.ws/3gokc, on April 19.
The EEP Office at IIM Bangalore, in partnership with TBS, has been offering the General Management Programme on Aviation and Aerospace since 2015. As part of this collaboration, IIM Bangalore and TBS jointly host the ‘International Conference on the Future of Aviation and Aerospace’ as an annual event that brings together industry experts, researchers, scholars and policymakers to deepen the understanding of the current state and future of the sector.
Participants at the conference will deliberate on topics such as the impact of macroeconomic environment on aviation and aerospace, future of global and local aviation market, drone sector, application of AI, ML and big data for airline operations, maintenance and customer service, managing talent, cybersecurity, and analytics in the aviation industry.
The conference will be attended by senior management from airlines, aircraft manufacturers, aviation hardware and software companies, Indian Air Force, HAL, DRDO, and the Airports Authority of India.
The speakers from IIM Bangalore include Rishikesha T Krishnan, director, IIM Bangalore; G Shainesh, chairperson, Initiatives on Consumer Insights; S Raghunath, former faculty member; and Chetan Subramanian, faculty of the economics area.

The fee structure is only slightly lower than the premier IIMs in the country, for instance, IIM Ahmedabad’s postgraduate programme costs Rs 25 lakh while IIM Bangalore’s MBA program costs Rs 24.5 lakh and at IIM Calcutta it costs Rs 31 lakh.
