Use NowNew Delhi, July 28: CAT 2018 will be held on November 25, 2018, in two slots across 147 cities of India. The application for Common Admission Test (CAT) for admission to Indian Institutes of Management and many other top MBA institutions will begin on August 8.

According to CAT 2018 Convenor P r o f. Sumanta Basu, the application will continue till September 19, 2018. A detailed brochure will be released on CAT Application and exam process on July 29, Prof Basu said.
Further, there has not been any major change in the CAT 2018. The exam pattern is same as that of last year. Likewise last year, the application fee is Rs. 1900 for General category candidates and Rs. 950 for the reserved category candidates. CAT 2018 Exam Pattern
According to the exam pattern , it is a computer-based test of three hours carrying 100 questions from three sections, namely, Verbal and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Ability.

CAT 2018 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should be graduates in any discipline from a recognised institute with minimum 50 percent aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA for General category candidates and 45 percent for SC, ST and PWD candidates. Final year graduation students are also eligible to apply provided they fulfil eligibility criteria within the stipulated date. There is no age limit for appearing in CAT.
How to apply for CAT 2018?
CAT 2018 registration process will be completely online. Candidates have to register using their email address and mobile number. Upon completing the registration process, they will receive the credentials. They have to log in again and fill up the forms with requisite personal, educational, professional details and upload photograph, signature and documents. Applicants have to also enter four preferred test cities and select IIMs and programmes they want to apply for. The last step is to pay the application fee using any of the payment modes, including Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking or Mobile Wallets.
CAT 2018 will be conducted across 147 cities located across 28 states of India.
B-schools accepting CAT scores
Along with 20 IIMs , more than 100 B-schools across India will accept CAT scores. Some of the top non-IIM CAT participating institutes are FMS, University of Delhi , DMS-IITs, SPJIMR , MDI Gurgaon to name a few.
In CAT 2017, a total of 1,99,632 candidates had appeared for the exam out of 2,31,067 candidates registered for the test.
