CAT result 2024 has been declared, candidates may follow these steps to prepare for MBA admission

1. Download CAT scorecard 2024

• Visit the official CAT 2024 official website (iimcat.ac.in).
• Log in using your credentials and download CAT 2024 scorecard for future reference.

2. Check eligibility for IIMs

• Compare your CAT percentile with the cutoffs for various IIMs (old, new, and Baby IIMs) and other B-schools.

3. Apply to non-IIM B-Schools

4. Participate in shortlisting process

• Shortlisted candidates will be notified via email or the respective institute’s portal.
• Shortlisting is based on CAT scores, academic records, work experience, and other criteria.

5. Prepare for the next round

• The selection process usually includes:
  • Written Ability Test (WAT)
  • Group Discussion (GD) or Group Exercise (GE)
  • Personal Interview (PI)

6. Keep documents ready

• Academic certificates (10th, 12th, graduation)
• Work experience certificates (if applicable)

7. Wait for final admission offers

• Institutes will release final admission offers based on composite score, which includes CAT percentile, performance in WAT, GD, PI, and other criteria.

The full form of CAT is the Common Admission Test. CAT 2024 result has been declared on December 19.

The first phase of the 2025 placements at IIM Mumbai featured participation from 78 companies, resulting in 373 job offers, including contributions from 20 new recruiters. Microsoft offered the highest salary of Rs 54 lakh. The top 10% of students achieved an average salary of Rs 48 lakh, while the top 20% secured an average of Rs 43.5 lakh.

BITSOM's selection process involves an initial shortlisting of candidates based on the prescribed CAT cutoff. Shortlisted candidates are invited for a personal interview conducted by a panel of experts. The final selection considers CAT performance, academic records, work experience, and extracurricular achievements. Selected candidates are then notified via email to complete admission formalities, including document verification and fee payment. BITSOM CAT cut-off is expected to be around 95 percentile.

CAT results 2024 have declared on December 19. The CAT 2024 official website read, “CAT 2024 Score Card is live now. Candidates can download their scorecards by logging into the CAT 2024 website (https://iimcat.ac.in), using the CAT application login id and password."  

IIM Kozhikode CAT cut-off 2024 for general candidates is 85 percentile and for Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates it is 75 percentile. (Expected).
