IIM Indore reappoints Himanshu Rai as director
IIM Indore’s Board of Governors has reappointed Himanshu Rai as the institute’s director for another term.

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore has reappointed Himanshu Rai as the director for another term. Rai was first appointed as the head of the institute in 2018. Now, he will serve as IIM Indore director for another five years.
The professor shared the news on social media and said, “Humbled to be given an opportunity by the IIMI BOG to serve IIM_I for another term of 5 years. It is an honor to continue this transformative journey, striving to lead the institute to new pinnacles of excellence and nation-building.”

The professor said he’s ‘grateful’ for the support from the board, faculty, staff, and students and thanked everyone for their ‘trust’.

Professor Rai served as the human resource management professor in IIM Lucknow. He has been teaching postgraduate and doctoral students since 2006. He was the dean of MISB Bocconi (India campus of Bocconi, Milan), and a professor at SDA Bocconi School of Management, Milan, Italy. He also taught in the HR department at Xavier School of Management (XLRI).
Rai is an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad. He served as the convenor of Common Admission Test (CAT) 2010. He has published over 30 papers and chapters in peer-reviewed journals and books, and his research areas include negotiation, cross-cultural issues, management and religion, spirituality, gender, influence tactics, 360-degree, recruitment advertising and proxemics.
