IIM Indore signs agreement with University of Liverpool to offer PG, other courses: Report

The Indian Institute of Management Indore and University of Liverpool will work together on joint certificates and short-term programmes.
NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore has signed an agreement with the University of Liverpool to offer specialised post-graduate courses, post-experience programmes, and doctoral research, a Times of India report said.
The two institutes will work together for developing joint certificates and short-term programmes in the areas of mutual interest as well as exchange of faculty, IIM Indore Himanshu Rai said, as per the report.

In addition to this, the institutes aim to provide a scholars-in-residence programme to bring bright scholars and professionals from different nations together and work on joint research, Rai said, according to the report.
“Our goal is to be a socially conscious institute and produce responsible leaders who make equitable and inclusive decisions. This is where we have a common goal - ennoblement of life and creating responsible leaders, who work to make this world a better place to live in,” Rai added, the report said.
Anthony Hollander, pro-vice-chancellor research, University of Liverpool said that this partnership would provide benefits in exploring the areas of common interest in the field of research and student exchange, the report said.
Hollander added that both the institutes will collaborate on research agenda for a positive effect on the world. This would be a great opportunity for the graduate students at the University of Liverpool as well as to study the specialised PG programmes in India, he said, as per the report.
On the other hand, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bodh Gaya welcomed the inaugural batch of five year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) for academic year 2021 on Tuesday.

The Institute started a five-year integrated programme in management (IPM) for the Class 12 pass-out students from this academic year. The IPM programme offered at IIM Bodh Gaya is open to students from varied domains, including liberal arts.
