NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Management Jammu (IIM Jammu), recently hosted its Roundtable Conference at Crowne Plaza, Gurugram. The event was attended by policymakers, academics, and industry leaders to address workforce evolution, and leverage technology to prepare students for future employment, the IIM Jammu statement said.

The event was inaugurated by Milind P Kamble, the chairman, board of governors, IIM Jammu in presence of BS Sahay, the director at IIM Jammu, and Soma Mondal, the member of board of governors of IIM Jammu and ex-chairman, the Steel Authority of India Limited.
Milind P Kamble, the chairman, of IIM Jammu, emphasized the importance of discussions like these in shaping the future of education and industry. He highlighted the need for such collaborations and urged industry leaders to work closely with T-schools and B-schools to address critical challenges such as climate change and develop sustainable solutions.
BS Sahay, the director, of IIM Jammu also emphasized the institute’s rapid growth and its commitment to bridging academic learning with real-world application. He expressed optimism about India’s vision to become a developed nation by 2047, as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and outlined the role of initiatives like Project YUVA, in collaboration with the government of J&K, in promoting employment through entrepreneurship, IIM Jammu statement added.

The Gurugram Roundtable Conference featured three insightful panel discussions that brought together industry leaders and experts to address critical issues shaping the workforce of tomorrow.
1st panel discussion: The first discussion included “Creating a Future-Ready Workforce and Strategies for Adaptation and Resilience” and was moderated by Soma Mondal, member BoG, IIM Jammu, and ex-chairman of the Steel Authority of India Limited.
2nd panel discussion: The panel discussion included “Shattering the Glass Ceiling: Strategies for Inclusive Leadership” and was moderated by BS Sahay, the director, IIM Jammu. He highlighted the importance of inclusive leadership for innovation and long-term success.
3rd panel discussion: The last panel discussion included “Leadership in Digital Transformation” moderated by Nitin Upadhyay, the associate professor at IT Systems and Analytics, IIM Jammu. He stressed that breaking leadership barriers and fostering inclusivity are key to unlocking organizational potential.
The Gurugram Roundtable Conference further strengthened academia-industry collaboration, paving the way for actionable outcomes benefiting students and the corporate world, the IIM Jammu statement adds.
