IIM Jammu management fest 'Empyrean 2024' concludes; bollywood singers performed

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu, led by B S Sahay, director, held its annual cultural and management fest, "EMPYREAN'2024", from March 1 to March 3, 2024. RR Swain, IPS, Director General of Police (DGP), Jammu and Kashmir was invited as the chief guest to inaugurate the event.

The second day of Empyrean 2024 began with IPL Auction 2.0, followed by the leadership challenge, in which students demonstrated their oratory skills, leadership skills, and problem-solving abilities and were judged by panel of media experts including Pardeep Datta, senior editor at Times Now, and Sominder Koul, senior journalist, ANI, Jammu, as well as Apurva Yadav, co-chairperson, student affairs, and Gaana J, faculty, IIM Jammu.

The day proceeded with the solo singing competition and a fashion Show with students walking the catwalk in costumes that showcased their creativity and fashion sense.

IIM Jammu annual alumni meet

The Institute recently held its annual alumni meet, "समागम—The Annual Alumni Reunion," at its Jagti campus, commemorating Empyrean 2024. The event, entitled "Reconnect, Reunite, Revive!" brought together renowned alumni, current students, and faculty members. BS Sahay, director of IIM Jammu, emphasised the importance of alumni networking.

Performance by bollywood singers

The second day ended, with a performance by bollywood singer Ankit Tiwari, known for his popular songs "Sun Raha Hai Tu" and "Teri Galliyan,". The third day of Empyrean 2024 began with performances by bollywood singer Aditi Sharma, known for her songs like "Dilli" and "Golmaal".

The Student Affairs Office methodically organised and implemented every part of the festival, from artist selection and coordination to budgeting, execution, operations, and marketing, demonstrating their enthusiasm, creativity, and organisational abilities.
