IIM Kozhikode, TimesPro to launch certificate programme in management social initiatives

This 11-month certificate programme in management social initiatives will help students in hands-on experience and conceptual understanding.

NEW DELHI: TimesPro, an edtech platform and the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode partnered to launch a certificate programme in management social initiatives. This programme aims to quip the learners with skills that boost their capabilities in designing and managing social initiatives.

This 11-month certificate programme is designed to help the students gain a conceptual understanding across the three domain of social initiatives including- corporate social responsibility, not-for-profit ventures, and social entrepreneurship.

The participants in the programme will learn to manage social initiatives, engage with stakeholders, create impact measurement processes along with identifying funding sources and engaging in value creation. The certificate programme will also feature a capstone project where the students will be creating a social business concept and plan for an enterprise or non-government organisation (NGO).

The course will be conducted through TimesPro's interactive learning (IL) platform and will delivered through direst-to-device (D2D) mode. The IL follows a proven pedagogy of tools and techniques that include lectures, real-life case studies, assignments, and quizzes.

The programme is divided into two modules. The foundation module consists of areas including managing social initiatives, pathways to social initiatives, understanding social issues and being an impact champion. The advanced module consists of creating social enterprises, public private partnership, context of social initiatives, impact assessment along with the capstone project.

Required management competencies with a social perspective include human resources, finance, fundraising, marketing, organisational management, strategic management, social policy and administration, research and evaluation, the use of information technology in service delivery, etc. This programme designed by world-class faculty at IIM Kozhikode with their cutting-edge thought leadership and industry-leading insights, empower participants to manage and lead complex managerial challenges with confidence and decision-making ability."
