IIM Mumbai Placements 2026: Highest domestic package at Rs 71.4 LPA with 502 job offers; BFSI hiring up 33%

IIM Mumbai Placement 2026: The average salary stood at Rs 47.5 LPA with offers made across finance, consulting, general management, IT, and marketing
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Mumbai recorded its highest domestic package of Rs 71.4 lakh per annum and an average placement offer of Rs 47.5 lakh per annum for students in the IIM Mumbai final placement 2026. The drive secured over 502 job offers from companies including Microsoft, ITC, Amazon, and Accenture.
As per the IIM Mumbai placement report, the top 10% of students got an average package of Rs 47.5 lakh, the top 20% earned Rs 41.4 lakh, and the top 50% Rs 34.5 lakh.
A total of 505 students participated in the placement drive, securing 502 offers across the MBA, MBA-OSCM, and MBA-Sustainability programmes, while three students opted out to pursue entrepreneurial ventures. The drive saw participation from over 200 recruiters, including more than 50 first-time companies.

Students were placed across multiple functions, including banking, consulting, general management, product management, IT, operations, and marketing.
IIM Mumbai Placements: Consulting leads with 123 offers
Consulting remained the largest hiring domain with 123 offers, while that of BFSI grew 33% compared to last year. FMCG recruitment rose 24% and logistics hiring also saw an uptick, helped by the institute’s specialised MBA-OSCM programme.
Accenture Strategy & Consulting, Amazon, Asian Paints, Colgate-Palmolive, Diageo, Flipkart, Godrej Group, Hindustan Unilever, ITC, L’Oreal, Microsoft, Nestle, P&G, PwC US Advisory, Reliance Industries, and Tata Administrative Services took part in the IIM Mumbai placement drive, offering a variety of roles across different industries.
IIM Mumbai also welcomed over 50 first-time recruiters, including Aequitas Investments, African Industries, Arvind Fashions Limited, AWL, Bayer, BDK Valve, Birla Pivot, Bristlecone, Dalmia Bharat, Dezerv, Dr Lal PathLabs, ET Money, LivSYT, Lyric, Media.net, Mindsprint, Nexsales, Partnr, PolicyBazaar, Power Finance Corporation Limited, Procol, Ramkrishna Forgings Limited, Roc360, Shaadi.com, Sirius AI, Straive, Truemeds, Virtusa, Wings Pharmaceuticals, and others, offering both domestic and international roles.
Manoj Kumar Tiwari, director of IIM Mumbai , said the placements show the institute’s strength in meeting changing industry needs, especially in BFSI and AI-related roles. “Our graduates are joining companies not only as managers, but also as drivers of change in a world shaped by AI and digital transformation,” he added.
