IIM Mumbai, TalentSprint launch PG diploma in finance economics and management
The PG diploma programme starts in January this year and admissions are now open. The course will be taught online with some on-campus components.

NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Mumbai and education technology company, TalentSprint are launching a postgraduate (PG) diploma programme in finance economics and management.
“The programme aims at preparing aspiring professionals to comprehend the complex structure of financial markets, to apply economic principles, and make strategic decisions to drive sustainable economic growth,” the institute said.
The PG diploma course will last one year and commence in January. Admissions for the PG course are now open, as per the official release.

PG Diploma eligibility criteria, selection process
In order to get enrolled for the PG diploma course, the candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, economics, commerce, management, mathematics or statistics with minimum 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. Candidates, who belong to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST), or are Persons with Disability (PwD), should have minimum 45% marks or equivalent CGPA.
The selection process involves a written examination followed by an interview. Candidates need to take IIM Mumbai Admission Test (IMAT) which is scheduled on January 12, 2025. The IMAT is an online exam for the executive MBA programme.
Professionals working in PSUs with over 15 years of experience have a unique advantage that they are exempt from the test requirement but must participate in the interview process, the institute said.

Furthermore, the PG diploma programme offers the flexibility of online learning and on-campus experience at IIM Mumbai. Participants will be exposed to real-world case studies, projects and immersive learning sessions led by world-class faculty. Upon successful completion, graduates will earn a IIM Mumbai PG diploma, gain alumni status and access to the network of industry professionals and peers, it added.
The offered programme carries 45-credits, designed for both freshers and working professionals and is offered in collaboration with National Stock Exchange (NSE) as the knowledge partner, the institute added.
