IIM Sambalpur confers degrees on 236 MBA students

Indian Institute of Management Sambalpur awarded degrees to 190 MBA and 46 Executive MBA students.
NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sambalpur conferred degrees on 236 students of MBA 2022-24 batch and the first batch of Executive MBA. IIM Sambalpur awarded Priya Pant and Roma Dash with the Chairman's Gold Medals for Scholastic Performance in MBA and Executive MBA programme, respectively. Managing director and chief executive officer (CEO) of Bandhan Bank Chandra Shekhar Gosh presided over the convocation ceremony as the chief guest.
A total of 190 students received their MBA degrees while 46 graduated from the Executive MBA programme. In the MBA programme, the Director's Gold Medal for Scholastic Performance was awarded to Aditya Kumar from Bihar for securing the 2nd rank. The IIM Sambalpur Gold Medal for the best all-around performance was received by Devashish Malkani from Uttar Pradesh. In the Executive MBA programme, the Director's Gold Medal for Scholastic Performance was received by Binaya Bhusan Panda from Odisha.
IIM Sambalpur said two female students got the highest CGPA in MBA and Executive MBA programmes. Out of the top 10 scorers in the MBA batch, six were from the reserved categories, it added.

Highlighting the challenges faced by individuals at the grassroots level, chief guest Chandra Shekhar Gosh said, “First, try to find the people who are the best fit for the job, rather than requiring everyone to be highly skilled."
IIM board of governor chairman Arundhati Bhattacharya said, “Self-management is of paramount importance for achieving progress in all aspects of life and is the cornerstone of success. Without self-discipline, resilience, and the ability to navigate challenges with equanimity, one cannot truly master self-management.”
