IIM Shillong placement report for PGP batch 2019-21; Highest CTC offered 32 LPA

NEW DELHI: Despite the challenging conditions prevailing in the country due to COVID-19, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Shillong, has successfully conducted the final placements for the batch of PGP 2019-2021, with the highest CTC of Rs 32 LPA and an average CTC of Rs 19.17 LPA. IIM Shillong witnessed an increase in average CTC by 2.18%.

Sixty-four recruiters participated in the final placement at IIM Shillong, wide across various domains such as Finance, General Management, Consulting & Strategy, Human Resources, Operations, and IT & Analytics, Sales & Marketing. The strategy was the most desired domain this year, with 27% of the total offers, followed by Sales and Marketing, with 25% of the total offers.

The top 20% and 50% of the PGP 2019-21 batch secured an average CTC of Rs 26.67 LPA and Rs 23.22 LPA, respectively, while the median CTC stood at Rs 17.50 LPA. As per the IIM Shillong placement report, Human Resources & Operations emerged as the highest paying domain, with an average CTC of Rs 20.38 LPA. IIM Shillong also witnessed participation from International recruiters including ShopUp, and Tillomed Laboratories who offered roles across Consulting & Strategy, and Operations.
