IIM Shillong Placements 2023: Average package up by 16.70%; highest CTC at Rs 71.30 lakh

IIM Shillong average package stood at Rs 26.96 lakh. Top recruiters were AB InBev, Aditya Birla Capital, Axis Bank, Bain & Company, Deloitte USI, etc.
NEW DELHI : The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Shillong has successfully concluded placements 2023 for 238 students of the 14th batch of the Postgraduate programme in Management. The highest CTC grabbed by an IIM Shillong student was Rs 71.30 lakh per annum (LPA). The average salary stood at Rs 26.96 lakh, witnessing a 16.70 percent increase from last year, whereas the median was Rs 26.09 lakh.
The top 10 percent IIM Shillong students received Rs 39.68 lakh salary while the top 20% got Rs 35.35 lakh in placements 2023. The top 50% grabbed Rs 30.82 lakh CTC.

Domain-wise, the highest offers were made by consulting and strategy domain with 35% offers followed by finance with 20%. Sales and marketing made 17% offers, IT and analytics 16%, general management 7%, and human resources and operations 5%.
Amongst sectors, the consulting sector remained at top with 31% offers followed by BFSI with 23% offers. Manufacturing and retail made 20% offers, IT and analytics 14%, technology media and telecommunications 10%, and others 2%.

A total of 63 recruiters participated in the IIM Shillong placements with 26 new recruiters. Some of the top recruiters were AB InBev, Aditya Birla Capital, Axis Bank, Bain & Company, Capgemini, Cipla, DE Shaw, Deloitte USI, EY, Goldman Sachs, HSBC Bank, IBM, ICICI Group, Infosys Consulting, ITC, Jio Platforms, JP Morgan Chase & Co., Mahindra Logistics, Microsoft, Nomura Investment Bank, Pidilite Industries, StateStreet, Tata AIG, TATA Steel, Titan, TresVista and WNS.
The new recruiters included Adani Group, Berger Paints, Everest Group, EXL, Godrej Consumer Products Ltd., Larsen & Toubro, LatentView Analytics, Licious, Manyawar, McKinsey & Company, Merilytics, Qwixpert, Uber and VIP Industries.
The PGP students also got 85 pre-placement offers (PPO) from AB InBev, Amagi, Bain & Company, Cipla, DE Shaw, Deloitte USI, Goldman Sachs, ICICI Group, ITC, JSW, Mahindra Logistics, Microsoft, Nomura, Pidilite Industries, TATA Steel and Uber.
