IIM Udaipur placement sees 20% increase in stipend, 322 students placed

NEW DELHI: As many as 322 students bagged internship opportunities at the summer placement drive at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Udaipur.
This year, the highest stipend offered also saw a jump of 20 percent with students receiving Rs 3,00,000 offered by FMCG and consulting sectors.
The top 10 percentile in the current batch also secured an average stipend of Rs 2,09,032 and the top 20 percentile secured an average of Rs 1,67,150.
IIM Udaipur students falling in the top 50 percentile were offered an average stipend of Rs 1,08,000.
Compared to last year, the number of job offers in the e-commerce sector saw a 100 percent increase.
Additionally, as a part of the summer internship process, 'Project Maverick' was launched at IIM-Udaipur to provide students an opportunity to explore the world of start-ups while being part of it. A total of 36 candidates were placed within two weeks by 10 start-up companies enrolled for the program.
IIM Udaipur internship offers
The summer placements conducted for the tenth batch of IIM-Udaipur saw the participation of 60 recruiters offering jobs in various sectors. Some of the top recruiters included Accenture Strategy, Accenture Technology, Adani Group, Cisco Systems, Del Monte, Hindustan Unilever, Kalpataru, Magicbricks, Puma and Renault among others.
A majority of offers were made in the sales and marketing sector along with other job profiles like analytics, human resources, finance and operations.
