IISER Thiruvananthapuram to hold 11th convocation on July 23; over 300 students to get degrees
Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram (IISER TVM) will celebrate its 11th convocation on 23rd July 2023.

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram (IISER TVM) will celebrate its 11th convocation on 23rd July 2023 at its Vithura campus, Thiruvananthapuram.

K Radhakrishnan, former chairperson of ISRO and current chairperson of the Standing Committee of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Council, will be the chief guest at the 11th convocation.
The IISER TVM in its 11th convocation will award degrees to a total of 189 bachelor of science - master of science (BS-MS), 36 PhD, 12 integrated PhD, and 21 master of science, research (MS-Res) students. The first batch of 73 students from the master of science programmes launched in 2021 will also graduate in this convocation.

As per the institute, under the leadership of Arvind A Natu, the current chairman of the board of governors, and the guidance of J N Moorthy, the director of the Institute, IISER TVM has progressed in its academic journey. The IISER TVM has a curated pedagogy, aligned with the guidelines of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The institute offers students a flexible curriculum with interdisciplinary character which has challenged and expanded the learning capabilities of students. This approach empowers students to provide innovative solutions for real-world challenges.
