NEW DELHI, June 5:  Indian Institute of Space and Technology (IIST) has commenced the application process for B.Tech admissions from June 5 onwards. Candidates can fill the application form for IIST B.Tech admission in online mode only. However, before proceeding towards filling the application form, candidates must ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria prescribed by the authorities. Moreover, they must fill and submit the application form on or before the last date that is June 15.

Along with filling the form, candidates belonging to General/OBC-NCL need to pay the application fees of Rs. 600 (Rs. 300 for Women and all SC, ST, PD candidates) in online mode.

Fill the application by following below steps

  • Visit the official website
  • Click on tab stating ‘undergraduate admission-2018’
  • Fill in all the details in the online application form as per the instructions given there.
  • The registered candidates shall be given a IIST registration number and a password.
  • Once completed online registration, proceed for remitting the registration fee using SBI-Collect

Preparation of rank list

The rank list will be prepared based on their aggregate marks scored in JEE Advanced 2018. On June 18, IIST will release the category-wise IIST admission rank list only for eligible and registered candidates in online mode. Later on, from June 19 to 22 all the registered eligible candidates whose name appeared the rank list can fill their choices by log-in with their registration number and password. They have to select their choice of branch of study in the order their preference. Based on the preference candidates will be allotted seat in online mode. There is ‘No’ option to ‘Freeze’ a seat allotment, when candidates are allotted their second or third choice in any round of seat allotment. As soon as candidate accept the allotted seat they shall be automatically ‘Slided’ to their higher preference when vacancies arise.

IIST offers total of 140 seats in the undergraduate engineering programmes and dual degree. The institute offers admission based on the scores obtained in JEE Advanced.
