IIT Bombay Admission 2026: MTech application form open; apply by April 10

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Bombay) has started applications for its Master of Technology (MTech) programmes for the 2026–27 academic session. Eligible candidates can apply for IIT Bombay MTech admission 2026 online through the official portal, iitb.ac.in.

The IIT Bombay MTech application form 2026 is available only online. As per the admission schedule, the last date to submit the IIT Bombay MTech admission form 2026 without a late fee is April 10, while with a late fee, the registration will close on April 16, 5 pm.

To complete the IIT Bombay MTech registration, candidates from the General, OBC-NC categories will have to pay Rs. 300, while women, SC, ST, and PwD candidates are required to pay Rs. 150.

IIT Bombay MTech Admission 2026: Eligibility

Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology, or a master’s degree in science, with at least 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA (55% or 5.5 CGPA for SC, ST, PwD) can apply for IIT Bombay MTech admission 2026.

IIT Bombay MTech admission will be done through online counselling via COAP, based on GATE scores, CGPA, and departmental review. Candidates with a valid GATE score must register on the COAP 2026 portal, as seat allotment will be done through COAP, which is being organised by IIT Roorkee for the 2026–27 admissions.

Candidates who get a seat in the IIT Bombay MTech course must report to the college between July 22 and 23. The MTech programme will start on July 27.

• Fill in your basic information to create login credentials.

• Upload the required documents in a prescribed format and size.
• Pay the IIT Bombay MTech application fee and submit the form.
• Download the completed IITB MTech form and take a printout of it for your future use.
