IIT Bombay launches summer programmes for school students; registrations open for workshops in AI, robotics

Educational Outreach, IIT Bombay will conduct summer programmes between June and July 2026 for students of Classes 8 to 12
Educational Outreach, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay has announced summer programmes for school students to help them learn through practical activities, innovation, entrepreneurship, and interdisciplinary subjects. The summer programmes will be conducted between May and July 2026 under IIT Bombay’s School Outreach initiative.
Interested and eligible students can apply for the summer programmes of IIT Bombay through the official website at cep.iitb.ac.in/IITB_SchoolOutreach.
According to the institute, students will get an opportunity to learn through practical activities, collaborative projects, and exposure to IIT Bombay’s research and innovation ecosystem.
The summer programmes are open for students of Classes 8 to 12. Students selected for the programmes will get a chance to use advanced labs and technology facilities at the IIT Bombay, depending on the course they choose. Participants who complete the programme will also receive certificates from Educational Outreach, IIT Bombay .
The programmes will focus on future-oriented areas such as artificial intelligence (AI) , robotics, design thinking, sustainability, and entrepreneurship.
IIT Bombay summer programmes 2026
The institute will organise programmes on topics like makerspace learning, interdisciplinary studies, entrepreneurship, and design thinking. These courses will be conducted in June and July 2026, with different course durations and fees.

The institute said the programmes are designed to help students build curiosity, creativity, confidence, and problem-solving skills while exploring future academic and career opportunities.
Students participating in the IITB’s summer programmes will receive guidance from experts and mentors and experience campus-based learning at IIT Bombay.
