IIT Bombay Placements 2021 witness 25% increase in number of recruiters
IIT Bombay Placements: While Day 1 and Day 2 saw 51 and 60 companies, Day 3 witnessed 57 recruiters in the placement drive.

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay saw an increase of 25% in participation of recruiters in placements 2021. The institute conducted the placements 2021 for the third day, today.
While day one and day two saw 51 and 60 companies participating in the placement drive, day 3 witnessed 57 organizations interviewing the students.

On day 1, IIT Bombay received 29 international offers with 10 international companies participating in the process.
The highest international salary package offered was Rs 2.05 crore by Uber while the highest domestic salary was Rs 62 LPA. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Qualcomm, Boston Consulting Group, Airbus, Bain and company, made the highest number of offers in the domestic sector.

The total number of offers received by the institute including accepted pre-placement offers (PPOs) are 493. The day 1 selections were a record, with 278 students accepting offers. Around 350 offers were made on day 1. ONGC (PSU) has offered 5 jobs.
On Day 2, 60 companies participated in the placement season 2021. While in Slot 2.1, 28 companies participated, the evening slot had 32 companies interviewing candidates.

Overall, 263 students were selected in 60 companies. 8 International companies were there on Day 2. At the end of Day 2, a total of 756 students were selected which is a 50% increase from last year’s 503.
On Day 3, placement season had 57 companies participating in the process. In Slot 3.1, the institute saw 30 companies and the evening slot had 27 companies interviewing candidates.

The placement process for IIT Bombay commenced on December 1, 2021. Overall, the IITs are conducting the placement in online mode for the second consecutive year due to the Covid-19 situation. The institutes also witnessed a surge in the pre-placement offers this year.
