IIT Gandhinagar to host international conference on nuclear magnetic resonance on March 6

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) is going to host 27th meeting of the National Magnetic Resonance Society (NMRS 2022) along with an international conference on Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR): Chemistry, Biology and Drug Discovery from March 6 to 9, 2022.

The annual symposium has nine plenary talks and 40 invited talks, 6 award lectures, in addition to a number of short talks and students’ oral and poster presentations.

The discussions will cover all the frontiers of magnetic resonance. “NMR spectroscopy is the lifeline for various branches of science and MRI is the offshoot of NMR spectroscopy and is an indispensable diagnostic tool in healthcare,” the institute said.

The IIT Gandhinagar official statement said, “The annual meetings of NMRS have gained international character and are known for their depth, breadth, intellectual rigour, and highest-level research discussions. The virtual meeting and international conference will bring together world-renowned scientists from different parts of the globe to discuss their recent findings and deliver lectures in the research areas of Biomolecular NMR, Solid-State NMR, Structural Biology, MRI, and Synthetic Organic Chemistry.”

“The event will serve as an excellent academic feast for the scientific fraternity, a motivation for budding scientists, and a platform to share ideas and encourage long-range collaborations,” it added.
