GANDHINAGAR: Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) will organise the third edition of the “Seminar Series on History of Ideas’ on September 10, 2022, from 3 to 5 pm, with two online seminars on the historical evolution of prominent ideas and fundamental breakthroughs in science.

The seminar series is curated by IITGN faculty Professor Sudipta Sarkar. Students, faculty members, and anyone interested will be able to attend the online seminars free but will have to register online by September 5, 2022, on the following link: https://tinyurl.com/historyideas.

The first seminar on “Darwin’s Theory of Evolution: Importance and Implications” will be delivered by Professor Rhitoban Ray Choudhury from Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Mohali. In the last two series, prominent scientists gave seminars on the history of Quantum Mechanics, Soft Matter Physics, Relativity Theory, and the History of Algorithms,” the institute said.
