The last date to apply for the GATE GOAPS 2026 is September 25. The institute will conduct the GATE 2025 examinations from February 7 to 15.
Eligible candidates can apply for admission to MTech or research courses through the GATE GOAPS 2026 official website at gate2026.iitg.ac.in.
GATE 2026 is a national-level examination where candidates will be assessed for their understanding of different undergraduate-level subjects in engineering, technology, science, architecture, and humanities
Candidates who will qualify GATE 2026 will have an opportunity to seek admission to masters, direct doctoral and doctoral programmes in various branches of engineering, technology, science, architecture, and humanities in several institutions.
Several colleges and institutions also use GATE score for admission to PG courses without MoE scholarship, according to the official brochure. Besides, many Public Sector Undertaking (PSUs) also use GATE score for recruitment.
The registrations for GATE 2026 with late fee will be closed on October 6, 2025. Female, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons With Disability (PwD) candidates will be able to submit their application by paying Rs 1,000 as registration fee. In case of late fee, the cost will be Rs 1,500.
For other category candidates, the registration charges will be Rs 2,000, whereas with late fees, the amount will become Rs 2,500.
