IIT JAM 2019 on Feb 10; 3 more IITs to admit through JAM 2019 Score

Download NowNEW DELHI, AUGUST 14 : The Joint Admission Test for MSc programmes (JAM) for the admission year 2019 across the Indian Institutes of Technology will be held on February 10, 2019. Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT-KGP) is administering JAM 2019 for which the online registration-cum-application process will begin on September 1.
With addition of three more IITs as JAM 2019 participating institutes including IIT Bhilai, IIT (BHU) Varanasi and IIT Palakkad, the postgraduate science admission test will be conducted for a total of 18 IITs and Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore.
JAM Application Date and Fees
The candidates interested in pursuing the MSc programmes into the IITs through JAM 2019 need to complete the application process by October 1, 2019. The application fees for one test paper is Rs. 1500 and that for two test papers is Rs. 2100. However, the candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD and Female categories need to remit an application fee of Rs. 750 for one test paper and Rs. 1050 for two test papers.
Am I eligible?
The IIT-JAM 2019 applicants need to secure at least 55 per cent marks in the qualifying degree programme and those belonging to SC/ST/PwD category need to secure a minimum of 50 per cent marks in the aggregate of the subjects.
JAM Papers and Pattern
The JAM 2019 will be conducted in the Computer Based Test (CBT) format in two sessions on February 10, 2019 in as many as 65 cities. The session I will be conducted between 9:00 am and 12 noon for Biological Sciences, Mathematics and Physics subjects. The session II will be conducted between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm for the following subjects– Biotechnology, Chemistry, Geology and Mathematical Statistics.
The result of JAM 2019 will be declared on March 20 following which the admission forms for the counselling process will be released from April 11, 2019. Candidates who qualify JAM 2019 are supposed to fill and submit the admission forms which will be available until April 24, 2019. The dates for the release of the admission lists will be released later by IIT Kharagpur.
