IIT JAM 2024 correction window closes on November 30; photograph, signature specifications

NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) will close the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM 2024) correction facility on November 30. JAM 2024 is held for admission to programmes such as MSc, MSc Tech, MS Research, MSc-MTech dual degree, Joint MSc - PhD, MSc - PhD dual degree in IITs and other participating institutes.

The JAM 2024 correction window was activated on November 24 at at joaps.iitm.ac.in. Fees for changing examination cities, test papers, category, gender is Rs 300 apart from the applicable difference in application fee. Candidates who wish to change category or gender will also be allowed to change by paying extra fees.

“Applicants belonging to EWS/OBC-NCL category should submit a valid category certificate on or before December 20, 2023. If you are not able to upload a valid EWS / OBC-NCL Category Certificate in the portal within the given deadline, your category will be automatically changed to general category and will not be rejected,” the institute said.

JAM 2024: Photograph specifications

• Candidates should upload their recent photograph in JPEG/JPG format
• It should be of size 3.5 cm × 4.5 cm (Width × Height).
• Maximum size of the image can be 480×640 in pixels (0.3 mega pixel).
• The minimum pixel size of the photograph should be 240×320 in pixels.
• The file size of the image should be in the range of 50 kB to 200 kB.
• Background of the photograph should be in white or or a very light colour.
• The face should occupy at least 50% of the area of the photograph with a full-face view looking into the camera directly.
• Should not wear spectacles with dark or tinted glasses or wear a cap.

JAM 2024: Signature specifications

• Candidates should draw a rectangular box of size 2 cm x 7 cm in height x width on a white paper and sign with black or dark blue ink pen horizontally.
• A signature with all capital letters or in any other colour ink will not be accepted.
• Scan the image and upload in only JPEG/JPG format.
• The maximum image size of the signature should be 160x560 in pixels.
• The minimum image size of the signature should be 80x280 in pixels.
• The file size of the image should be in the range of 50 kB to 150 kB.
