IIT JAM 2024 registration deadline extended to October 20; fees, participating non-IITs

IIT JAM exam 2024 is scheduled on February 11. The registration link is active on the JOAPS official website, joaps.iitm.ac.in.
Candidates can download JAM previous year's papers to boost their exam preparation.
Download NowNEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) has extended the IIT Joint Admission Test for Masters (IIT JAM 2024) registration date to October 20. JAM 2024 exam is held for admission to around 3,000 seats in 21 IITs for the academic year 2024-25.
As per the schedule announced earlier, the IIT JAM exam date is February 11. Candidates who qualify IIT JAM will be able to apply for admission to MSc, MSc Tech, MS Research, MSc.-MTech dual degree, Joint MSc - PhD, MSc - PhD dual degree in participating institutes.
Candidates will have to enter their name, a valid e-mail address, and an active mobile number to generate a password. Enter the enrolment number and OTP sent to the email address to login through the JOAPS official website, joaps.iitm.ac.in.
The JAM 2024 examination will be conducted in 7 subjects - biotechnology (BT), chemistry (CY), economics (EN), geology (GG), mathematics (MA), mathematical statistics (MS), and physics (PH). Candidates can apply for a maximum of two papers.

Category-wise application fee is given below. Fees for changing category, gender, test paper and exam city is Rs 300.

Besides IITs, JAM score 2024 will be used by various other institutes for granting admission to masters programmes.

- Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Pune (IISER Pune)
- Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE).
