IIT Kanpur will conduct the VVM exam 2023 on October 29 or October 30 for Class 6 to Class 11 students.

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) launched the brochure of the Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) 2023 scientific talent search examination on August 3. Interested students can register themselves for the Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan 2023 at the official website - vvm.org.in by September 15.
Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan 2023 is a collaborative effort between Vijnana Bharati, the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) and the National Council of Science Museums (NCSM). The primary objective of the examination is to identify and nurture scientific talent among students from Classes 6 to 11, irrespective of their educational boards.

VVM 2023 will offer 120 students from Uttar Pradesh to participate in the state-level camp. Among them, the top 18 achievers will be awarded cash prizes of Rs 5,000, Rs 3,000 and Rs 2,000, respectively. The top 12 students from the state will then advance to the national camp. Every participant will receive a district-level certificate.
Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan 2023-24 will provide participating students with training and internships of one to three weeks at national research laboratories or institutions like the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) and many more, for the national (Himalayans) and regional winners. The winners will be granted a scholarship of Rs 2,000 per month. The national winner (Himalayans) will also be assigned a project or activity for one year, subject to regular evaluations.

The examination is scheduled to be held on October 29 or October 30. The VVM exam will be of 90 minutes and the question paper will consist of 100 application-based questions. The results will be announced on November 10. Applicants will have to pay a registration fee of Rs 200.
