IIT Kanpur had released the first mock test on December 19 while the second and third mock tests were released on January 30 and February 1, 2018 respectively. Help videos were also released for the mock tests. The objective of these videos is to help the candidates in getting acquainted with the format of the JEE Advanced exam.
The mock tests can be used by candidates to draw a strategy for themselves for the final day of the JEE Advanced exam. The advantage of the mock tests is that they are an exact simulation of the exam with the timer and exam panel with instructions.
To use the mock tests, candidates must click on the one they wish to attempt. A login window appears and candidates must just click on the “Sign in” button to go to the test. They are advised to read the instructions before starting the exam.
The question paper is for three hours and the timer on the right side of the computer screen will show the time left with the candidate to complete the exam. Candidates will be able to navigate through different sections and the bar on the top of mock test of JEE Advanced will exhibit the sections from where questions are asked. As soon as the exam is completed, the system stops and there will be no need for candidates to submit or end it.
