IIT Kharagpur Placements 2022: Over 1,300 offers recorded so far; Rs 2.6 crore highest package

IIT Kharagpur receives 1,300 placement offers so far. The institute's highest offer is recorded at Rs 2.6 crore with 45 international offers.
NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur has recorded over 1,300 placements offers at the end of day-5 of IIT Kharagpur placements 2022. The Institute received the highest package offer of Rs 2.68 crore on the first day of placements.
According to official data, IIT Kharagpur was the only IIT to receive the highest total of 760 offers including pre-placement offers (PPOs) in campus placements 2022-23. The students received multiple international offers, Japan- 28 offers; Taiwan- 9 offers; USA- 3 offers and Singapore- 2 offers among others.

The Institute saw 10 offers with packages ranging from Rs 1 crore to 2.6 crore in both domestic and international companies across sectors including analytics, software, finance-banking, supply-chain-logistic, consulting, core-engineering, high frequency trading, tech profile, and product development, among others.
While thanking hiring partners for their association, CDC chairman, A Rajkumar, said: “The Institute has broken its own records of day-1 offers and the fastest 1,000 plus in day-2 among all IITs, which endorsed the legacy of the institute as well as the quality of the students. This would encourage more companies to visit the campus in the coming days and in near future.”
In recent IIT placement news, IIT Kanpur recorded a total of 808 offers on day three of the first phase of placements 2022. The highest domestic salary received was Rs 1.9 crore while 74 students secured international offers, out of which 33 were above Rs 1 crore.
