IIT Mandi launches short-term courses in EV, data analysis, deep learning for students, professionals

IIT Mandi's short-term certificate courses include electric and hybrid vehicle, statistical data analysis and deep learning 2.0, and advanced optical diagnostic techniques.
The Indian Institute of Technology Mandi (IIT Mandi) has launched a series of short-term certificate courses for students and working professionals. The programmes are designed to enhance the practical competencies of participants, who will gain technical expertise through hands-on training.
The courses led-by the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE), IIT Mandi , scheduled for Winter Semester Break 2025, includes electric and hybrid vehicle, statistical data analysis and deep learning 2.0, and advanced optical diagnostic techniques courses.
The programmes, beginning from the last week of December 2025, will be conducted on campus and provide candidates with exposure to state-of-the-art laboratories, along with lectures from expert faculty.
The participants will also engage in real-world problem environments, ensuring an immersive and application-focused learning experience, according to the official statement.
IIT Mandi’s Short-Term Certificate Courses:
The courses are offered with focus on emerging and industry-relevant domains. Here are the details of the programme.
Electric and Hybrid Vehicles Course:
The programme offers an in-depth understanding of electric mobility, including EV fundamentals, vehicle architecture, hybrid systems, battery technology, and live practical demonstrations.
Statistical Data Analysis and Deep Learning 2.0:
The course integrates theoretical concepts with hands-on training in machine learning, neural networks, and contemporary deep learning architecture. Participants will gain exposure to modern analytical tools and practical applications.
Advanced Optical Diagnostic Techniques:
Focussing on state-of-the-art optical instruments, the course includes laser-based diagnostic tools, spectroscopy methods, and their applications in scientific research.
