Students can apply for IIT Mandi’s summer internship programme 2026 on the official website, academics.iitmandi.ac.in, by March 30.

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi has started accepting applications for its Summer Internship Programme 2026 for undergraduate and postgraduate students. Eligible candidates can apply for IIT Mandi’s summer internship on the official website, academics.iitmandi.ac.in. Shortlisted candidates will be offered a monthly stipend of Rs 10,000.
Students can apply for IIT Mandi’s Summer Internship Programme 2026 by March 30.
The two-month internship programme will begin on May 25 and close on July 24. As per the eligibility criteria, the pre-final year of BTech and BE and PG students can apply for the internship programme.
The shortlisted interns are expected to work under the mentorship of IIT Mandi faculty members in different areas. Also, applicants need to specify the proposed area of work of the potential supervisor.
“The internship programme offers hands-on research training with a variety of hardware and software analysis tools,” official IIT Mandi’s brochure reads.
Recently, IIT Madras has also opened applications for its Summer Fellowship Programme 2026 for students outside IITs. Eligible students can apply for the programme official website, iitm.ac.in, by March 2. The fellowship programme offers Rs 15 thousand stipend for each month.
The list of research areas available for the Summer Internship Programme 2026 will be as follows.
Furthermore, the travel and living expenses will be borne by the interns. The screening of interns will be done by the schools or centres based on their credentials. However, shortlisting and selection criteria may be different for schools and centres. The selected candidates will have to arrange a letter of recommendation or NOC from their institute.
