IMA, Symbiosis School of Arts and Commerce launch management accounting course to upskill commerce graduates

The new CMA certification course will help provide students lucrative career options globally, focus on financial planning and management, analytics.
NEW DELHI : The Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), in collaboration with the Symbiosis School of Arts and Commerce, has launched a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification course in order to provide opportunities for commerce graduates to lucrative career options globally. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed recently, under which Symbiosis will offer IMA’s CMA certification course to its students.
The CMA certifications offered are based on various professional settings such as:

Strategic financial management
The new accounting programme aims to empower students to compete on a global scale, develop robust technical management accounting skills and knowledge, and provide students with opportunities for professional growth and development.

IMA certification course
The integration of IMA's certification programs with Symbiosis’s current academic curriculum will enable students to explore relevant knowledge from their first year itself with an aim to finish the CMA certification exam before graduation. Candidates from the Symbiosis School of Arts and Commerce will get discounts on study materials, training, exams, and membership costs.
All the academic members of IMA will get access to their vast library of case studies, research reports, and online courses. To improve student learning and exposure, IMA and Symbiosis will also work together on seminars, conferences, and research initiatives.
The chief executive officer of IMA, Michael DePrisco said: “In the face of rapidly evolving global market dynamics, the importance of equipping future professionals with comprehensive and adaptable skill sets is paramount. The partnership with Symbiosis is a significant step in our mission to advance the management accounting profession globally,”
