IMT Ghaziabad to host 21st international conference on empowering libraries, connecting communities

IMT Ghaziabad : 'MANLIBNET 2023' will be attended by over 200 participants, including library, information science, faculty, research scholars and IT professionals, etc.
NEW DELHI: The Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Ghaziabad announced the upcoming ‘MANLIBNET 2023: 21st International Conference’ event scheduled for October 5 to 7. The theme of the event will be 'Empowering Libraries, Connecting Communities: Innovation, Collaboration, and Entrepreneurship.'
According to the institute, the event will be attended by more than 200 participants, including library and information science professionals, faculty and research scholars, IT professionals and IT service providers, business and corporate professionals, knowledge management professionals, professional associations, publishers, and more from India and abroad.
The primary objective of MANLIBNET 2023 is to foster creative thinking, effective collaboration, and entrepreneurship within the library community and to explore unconventional approaches to promote academic and public libraries.

The conference will host various topics, including academic and public libraries, innovation in libraries, digital technology and trends in libraries, and many more as per the institute.
The event will have speakers like Amy Memon, regional head of South Asia for AACSB, as the chief guest along with K S Casimir, director of XLRI Delhi-NCR. The IMT Ghaziabad director Vishal Talwar will give the presidential address. M G Sreekumar, director libraries, Jio Institute, and Akhtar Parvez, university librarian, Maulana Azad National Urdu University, serving as President and General Secretary of MANLIBNET, respectively will also attend the event.
Akhtar Hussain, organising secretary of MANLIBNET 2023 and head librarian at IMT Ghaziabad, announced that the conference will feature eight plenary talks by senior library professionals and two-panel discussions on the following topics.

Leveraging the potential of emerging social media by libraries.
The institute stated that about 80 research papers are likely to be presented during the three-day conference.
