NEW DELHI : On the 76th Independence Day, various Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) celebrated 75 years of freedom by hoisting the national flag and organizing webinars, talks, cultural programmes, and competitions for students. Take a look at some of the celebrations carried out by IITs today, August 15.
IIT Delhi director, Professor Rangan Banerjee hoisted the national flag at the institute premises on the occasion of 76th Independence Day.

IIT Guwahati organised various cultural events and competitions to celebrate 75 years of Independence today. Professor T G Sitharam, director of the institute hoisted the national flag. The Kendriya Vidyalaya school at IIT Guwahati also held an exhibition. Moreover, Students’ Gymkhana Council of the institute organized a cross-country race for students in partnership with a gym.
