NEW DELHI: The Indian Youth Congress (IYC), along with the Delhi Congress, will organise a job fair at Delhi's Talkatora Stadium on June 19 to mark the 56th birthday of Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, party sources said on Tuesday.
More than 150 private companies, including Tata Motors, Haier, Amazon, Flipkart, Larsen & Toubro (L&T), Kia, Nykaa, HDFC Bank, Dabur, D Mart, JCB, and Parle, are expected to participate in the job fair event.
"The fair will offer employment opportunities across sectors and facilitate on-the-spot interviews for job seekers. It is an initiative to connect unemployed youth with prospective employers amid growing concerns over joblessness," a source said.

According to party sources, registrations for the job fair will begin on June 12. The party's youth wing had organised a similar event at the same venue last year on the occasion of the Congress leader's birthday. Around 8,500 youths had registered for the 2025 job fair, and nearly 7,500 candidates were interviewed.
Of them, about 3,500 received job offers or appointment letters on the spot, while several others were shortlisted for subsequent rounds of recruitment, they said.
