IP University professor Gulshan Kumar Dhamija receives Best Teacher Award from Delhi govt
IPU: Best Teacher Award including a cheque of Rs 1 lakh was presented to IP University professor Dhamija by Manish Sisodia
NEW DELHI: Gulshan Kumar Dhamija, associate professor at the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) or the IP University received the Best Teacher Award from the Delhi government for his contribution to higher education. Dhamija is an associate professor at IP University’s University School of Basic and Applied Sciences. The award also included a cheque of Rs 1 lakh.

The Delhi government’s Best Teacher Award was presented to Dhamija by Manish Sisodia, Deputy chief minister of Delhi. The awarding ceremony was held at the Delhi Secretriat in the presence of IP University vice-chancellor Mahesh Verma and registrar Shailendra Singh Parihar.
According to a statement from IP University, Dhamija is a chemistry teacher who has membership in various national and international committees on chemistry and has travelled to more than 25 countries for research purposes. He has published around 20 research papers in international journals and guided many research scholars even during the COVID-19 pandemic period. Dhamija is also engaged in activities of Exams and Directorate of Students’ Welfare of the IP University, it said.
The IP University has recently opened admission to its 185 undergraduate, postgraduate, research-level courses including six new innovative programmes from the academic session 2022-2023. Candidates can apply online to more than 40,000 seats of the university’s courses through the IP University official website ipu.ac.in.
