NTA is conducting exams for UGC NET December 2021 and June 2022 merged cycles on July 9, 11, 12 and August 12, 13, and 14, 2022.

A Twitter user shared a clip of National Institute of Technology (NIT) Calicut centre and said, “What's happening in UGC net exam Dec21-June22 (merged cycle)? Many of the students couldn't attend the exam due to technical errors at NIT CALICUT. It's 2:40 now, First shift is not completed. When will the second shift start?”

A candidate said on Twitter, “In an act of sheer irresponsible management of exams, on the first day first shift of UGC NET, December 2021 & June 2022 merged cycle, candidates had to undergo a long haul of waiting of 2hrs for the server to get started (scheduled at 9a.m. started at 11a.m.).”

“A sum of Rs 1,000 is charged from students. Where does that money go, if candidates can't get to sit for 3hrs? to give an exam that is crucial to their career? Who is going to compensate for the mental cost that they had to bear for the inefficiency of NTA, UGC,” he added. Another candidate tweeted, “1.3 Hours break in 3hours UGC NET exam today at most of the Bihar's centres. Shame on you, NTA”

“Server problem in ugc net's first day exam today. Postpone the exam,” another student demanded in a tweet.

Meanwhile, NTA has postponed exams for Telugu and Marathi subjects until further notice due to logistic reasons. These exams were scheduled to be held on July 9. The new dates will be announced soon on the official website of UGC NET – ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
